Potentilla 'Flamboyant' - 2026

Potentilla ‘Flamboyant’ is a showy perennial prized for its double, deep red flowers that bloom profusely through summer above a neat mound of green, strawberry-like foliage. The blooms are richly coloured and velvety in texture, creating a dramatic display in sunny borders, containers, or cottage gardens. It forms a compact clump habit, showing colour from mid to late summer and bringing both impact and continuity to garden plots.

This cultivar prefers full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating dry to moist conditions so long as there is no waterlogging. It is relatively low maintenance, thriving in average soils and benefiting from deadheading to prolong flowering. It is non-native to the UK, and is excellent for attracting pollinators and adding bold colour contrast where darker foliage or lighter flowers are nearby.
