Potentilla 'Volcan' - 2026

Potentilla 'Volcan' is a compact, clump-forming perennial with dense, dark green, strawberry-like foliage. From early to late summer it produces deep red, semi-double flowers with a yellow centre, creating a striking display above the foliage. Its low, mound-forming habit makes it ideal for sunny borders, rockeries, or containers. Deadheading spent flowers encourages further blooms, and the tidy foliage maintains structure when not in flower. This cultivar attracts pollinators and provides long-lasting ornamental interest.

It thrives in full sun in well-drained soil and is hardy and low-maintenance once established. Although non-native to the UK, it offers excellent ecological and visual value throughout its flowering season.
