Aruncus aethusifolius - 2026

Aruncus aethusifolius, often called dwarf goat’s beard, is a compact perennial prized for its finely divided, fern-like foliage and airy plumes of creamy white flowers. Blooming in early to mid-summer, the elegant flower spikes rise gracefully above the dense mound of leaves, adding texture and lightness to shaded or partially shaded borders. Its neat, clumping habit makes it an excellent choice for the front of woodland borders, shaded rock gardens, or as ground cover in moisture-retentive soils. In autumn, the foliage often takes on warm tones, extending its seasonal interest. This hardy and easy-to-grow species is also deer and rabbit resistant, making it both practical and ornamental.
