Blueberry 'Jersey' stands as a testament to the essence of homegrown goodness. This cultivar, renowned for its delectable berries and hardy nature, embodies the perfect blend of taste, versatility, and ease of cultivation.
Distinctive Characteristics:
'Jersey' blueberries, belonging to the Vaccinium corymbosum species, offer an exceptional experience in both gardening and culinary endeavors. This highbush variety boasts several distinctive characteristics that make it a prized addition to any garden:
Flavorful Harvest: The berries of 'Jersey' are known for their exquisite taste profile—a harmonious blend of sweet and tangy flavors. These plump, medium-sized blueberries delight the palate with their juicy texture and rich, fruity sweetness.
Hardiness and Adaptability: One of the standout features of 'Jersey' is its resilience. Thriving in various climates, this cultivar is recognized for its adaptability, making it suitable for a wide range of garden environments.
Growing and Care Tips:
Cultivating 'Jersey' blueberries requires attention to a few key factors:
Planting Conditions: Select a sunny location with well-draining, acidic soil for optimal growth. Ensure adequate spacing (around 4 to 5 feet apart) when planting to facilitate healthy development.
Soil Preparation: Prior to planting, amend the soil with organic matter like peat moss or compost to enhance moisture retention and acidity levels.
Watering and Mulching: Blueberries require consistent moisture, especially during the growing season. Mulch around the base of the plants to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature.
Pruning and Maintenance: Regular pruning, typically in late winter or early spring, promotes vigorous growth and higher yields. Remove dead or diseased branches to encourage new growth.
Harvesting: 'Jersey' blueberries typically ripen in mid to late summer. Harvest when the fruits turn a deep blue color and come off the bush easily.
In conclusion, Blueberry 'Jersey' represents a flavorful treasure for gardeners seeking a fruitful addition. With its enticing taste, adaptability, and ease of cultivation, this cultivar promises a rewarding experience for both gardening enthusiasts and culinary adventurers alike.

Recycled Growing Media
At Lincs Plants, we’re proud to use a recycled, peat free growing mix that’s made right here in Lincolnshire. It’s made from coir with around 20% silt loam added in.
The coir keeps the mix light and free draining, while the silt loam adds structure and helps hold moisture and nutrients. By recycling used media and using locally sourced materials, we cut down on waste and reduce the need for imported peat based composts.
This home grown mix is part of our commitment to sustainable growing and supporting local production wherever possible.
At Lincs Plants, we operate from two main locations. When you place an order, we prepare and pack plants across both sites depending on what you’ve ordered.

We have five collections a day, so orders can leave throughout the day as soon as they’re ready.
