Aconitum napellus 'Rubellum' - 2026

Aconitum napellus 'Rubellum' is a tall, clump-forming perennial admired for its soft rose-pink, hooded flowers that bloom in mid to late summer. These unusual flowers provide a softer alternative to the deep blues typical of aconitums, creating a charming contrast in borders and mixed plantings. The deeply divided, dark green foliage adds texture and remains attractive throughout the season, supporting the plant’s upright, architectural presence.

Thriving in moist, well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade, this cultivar is both hardy and resilient. Its tall stems may need staking in more exposed areas, and it benefits from a sheltered position. Like all aconitums, it is highly toxic and must be handled with care.
