Hosta 'Frosted Dimples' - 2026

Hosta 'Frosted Dimples' is a medium-sized, clump-forming perennial that adds both texture and color to shaded garden spaces. Introduced in 1999, this cultivar is a hybrid between H. 'Blue Dimples' and H. 'Silver Frost'. It features thick, heavily corrugated, blue-green leaves with a thin, creamy-yellow margin that gradually turns white as the season progresses. The leaves are slightly rippled and arch downward, creating a graceful mound of foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season.

In mid to late summer, 'Frosted Dimples' produces tall scapes bearing racemes of near-white, bell-shaped flowers. These blooms rise above the foliage, adding vertical interest and attracting pollinators. The plant thrives in moist, well-drained soils and prefers partial to full shade, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens or shaded borders.
