Hosta 'Rhein' - 2026

Hosta ‘Rhein’ is a medium-sized blue-leaved hosta with distinctive texture and good foliage substance. The leaves are a rich blue with noticeable veins, giving them an attractive, textured appearance which helps them stand out, especially in shaded planting schemes. In summer, lavender flowers rise above the mound, bringing added seasonal interest and supporting pollinators.

It performs best in partial to full shade, where its blue tones remain most vivid, and prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Once established it is easy to maintain, requiring little care beyond protection from slugs and consistent soil moisture to preserve its bold foliage.
