Hosta 'Warwick Comet' - 2026

Hosta ‘Warwick Comet’ is a medium-sized perennial forming a mound of very cupped, heavily corrugated leaves. The foliage starts with a gold centre and dark green margins, later shifting with the centre ageing to creamy white, giving striking contrast. In summer it bears lavender-to-mauve flowers on tall scapes above the foliage, adding seasonal interest to shaded beds and borders. It thrives in moist, rich, well-drained soil and performs best in partial shade or full shade with protection from harsh sun.

Beyond its beauty, ‘Warwick Comet’ offers ecological benefits by providing nectar for pollinators and acting as a groundcover that suppresses weeds. Its slow to moderate growth rate makes it manageable and it works well in containers as well as mixed perennial planting.
