Iris germanica 'Carnival Time' - 2026

Iris germanica 'Carnival Time' is a tall bearded iris cultivar introduced by Schreiner in 1976. It features striking, ruffled, deep burnt sugar brown flowers, finely etched with deeper brown to orange texture veining. The blooms have a deep brown to orange beard, adding to their dramatic appearance. This cultivar blooms in early to midseason, typically reaching a height of approximately 91 cm (36 inches). Its bold colour and form make it a standout in any garden, offering a vibrant display during its blooming period.

The plant forms upright clumps of sword-shaped, greyish-green foliage that remain attractive after flowering.
