Iris germanica 'Morning Show' - 2026

Iris germanica 'Morning Show' is a tall bearded iris cultivar introduced by Allan Ensinger in 1987. This midseason bloomer features exceptionally large, asymmetric blooms consisting of tear-shaped petals with a subtle waving at the edge. Both the upper and lower petals take on a deep, dark, red-purple colour resembling that of a ripe plum. The characteristic clumps of short hair—the beard—grow at the bases of the lower petals. Standing at approximately 60 - 70 cm (24 - 28 inches), it is well-suited for adding vertical interest and a touch of sophistication to garden beds and borders.
