From July to September it bears rose-pink daisy flowers around a raised central cone, the colour opening intense and softening as the flowers age. Growing to about 60cm, it is a good fit for sunny borders, prairie-style planting, gravel gardens and containers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlant in full sun in well-drained soil; once established it tolerates dry spells but dislikes winter waterlogging. Deadhead to extend flowering, or leave the last flowers to form seed heads for birds and winter structure. Cut back old stems in late winter or early spring. Coneflowers are excellent for bees and butterflies.
