It flowers from midsummer well into autumn, bringing warm late colour to borders, prairie-style and cottage plantings, and it makes a good cut flower.

Grow in full sun in moist but well-drained, reasonably fertile soil; it is fully hardy and dislikes drying out in summer. Plants may need light support in exposed sites. Cut the stems back in late winter or early spring, and divide clumps every few years in spring to maintain vigour. The flowers are a valuable late source of nectar for bees and other pollinators.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0861/1590/9979/files/Heleniumautumnale_HelenaRedShades_01.jpg?v=1793266389
