The series is noted for uniformity and a long flowering season. Use it in the middle of a sunny border, in cottage-garden schemes and for cutting.

Grow in full sun in any reasonably fertile, well-drained soil, including chalk and clay that does not sit wet in winter. It is hardy in most UK gardens. Deadhead regularly to keep flowers coming over a long period, cut the stems back once flowering ends, and lift and divide clumps every few years in spring to keep them vigorous.
