It flowers from midsummer into early autumn and is good in mixed borders, damp ground and as a long-lasting cut flower.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGrow in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil; it copes with clay and chalk and dislikes drying out. Very hardy. It spreads by underground runners, so lift and divide every couple of years in spring to keep it in check.
