Potentilla nepalensis 'Miss Willmott' - 2026

Potentilla nepalensis ‘Miss Willmott’ is a cheerful, clump-forming perennial that lights up the garden with loose clusters of saucer-shaped cherry-pink flowers, each with a darker red eye, from mid summer well into autumn. The flowers sit above dense mounds of mid-green, strawberry-like foliage composed of five broad leaflets, adding texture and contrast. Though the blooms are the main show, the foliage remains tidy and lush, helping to fill gaps and suppress weeds.

This cultivar thrives in full sun in well-drained soil and is fairly low maintenance. It tolerates poorer soils so long as drainage is good, and once established it flowers freely for many weeks. It is non-native to the UK but has become widely grown due to its reliability, ornamental charm, and wildlife appeal, especially for bees.
