Trollius 'Alabaster' - 2026

Trollius ‘Alabaster’ is a striking herbaceous perennial, often prized for its soft, luminous blooms and handsome foliage. The plant forms dense clumps of deeply divided mid-green, glossy leaves, producing long, erect stems topped with bowl-shaped, semi-double flowers in a very pale yellow to creamy-ivory hue, often with subtle green tinges. These globe-like blooms appear in spring through early summer, creating an elegant display in borders, moist woodland gardens or near water edges.

This cultivar thrives in moist, heavy soils that retain water without becoming waterlogged, and performs best in full sun to partial shade. It benefits from a sheltered spot if winters are harsh. After flowering, cutting back spent stems helps maintain tidiness and can sometimes encourage further bloom. Trollius ‘Alabaster’ is also beneficial to pollinators, especially bees, and its compact yet bold form makes it suitable for mixed perennial plantings or damp corners where many other plants struggle.
