Vinca minor - 2026

Vinca minor is a low-growing, evergreen perennial often used as an attractive ground cover in shaded or partially shaded areas. It forms a dense mat of glossy dark green leaves and produces a profusion of violet-blue, star-shaped flowers from spring through to early summer. Its neat, trailing habit allows it to cascade beautifully over slopes, rockeries, or edging areas, providing year-round interest and effective weed suppression.

Hardy and adaptable, Vinca minor thrives in moist, well-drained soil and tolerates a range of light conditions from full sun to deep shade, though it performs best in partial shade. Once established, it requires very little maintenance, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens.
