A classic hardy, changeable waterlily introduced by Latour-Marliac in 1905. Flowers open yellow on the first day, deepen to orange on the second, and finish a rich coppery red on the third, about 12–15 cm across. Blooms are free-flowering from June to September, sitting just above the water surface. Leaves are green with maroon mottling, up to 20–25 cm wide, with a spread of 1–1.2 m. Thrives in 30–60 cm of water and full sun, making it an attractive, ever-changing highlight for medium ponds.
