Key Points
Flavorful and Versatile Fruits: Boysenberries are known for their delicious taste, combining flavors of blackberry, loganberry, dewberry, and raspberry. Their soft and succulent fruits can be enjoyed fresh from the bush or used in various culinary creations like jams, juices, pies, and desserts.
Suitable for Various Uses: These berries are versatile and can be used in different recipes, allowing for creative culinary experiments in the kitchen.
Adaptability to Garden Sizes: Boysenberries are less vigorous compared to some other bramble varieties, making them suitable for smaller gardens or even for cultivation in larger pots. Their manageable growth can be advantageous for those with limited garden space.
Low Maintenance: While they require fertile, moist, and well-draining soil, boysenberries are generally easy to care for. They thrive in full sun or lightly dappled shade and are fully hardy, making them adaptable to different climates and garden conditions.
Abundance of Fruit: Boysenberry plants can yield a substantial amount of fruit, providing a bountiful harvest during the summer months, allowing for regular enjoyment and preservation through canning or freezing.
Attractive Plant: Beyond their fruit-bearing capabilities, boysenberry bushes can also add aesthetic value to the garden with their foliage and attractive berries.
Hybrid Characteristics: Being a hybrid of various berries, boysenberries inherit desirable traits from each parent plant, creating a unique and appealing berry variety.
In summary, planting boysenberry blackberries in a garden can offer flavorful fruits for consumption, versatility in culinary uses, adaptability to different garden sizes, and relatively low maintenance requirements, making it an attractive choice for fruit enthusiasts and gardeners.

Recycled Growing Media
At Lincs Plants, we’re proud to use a recycled, peat free growing mix that’s made right here in Lincolnshire. It’s made from coir with around 20% silt loam added in.
The coir keeps the mix light and free draining, while the silt loam adds structure and helps hold moisture and nutrients. By recycling used media and using locally sourced materials, we cut down on waste and reduce the need for imported peat based composts.
This home grown mix is part of our commitment to sustainable growing and supporting local production wherever possible.
At Lincs Plants, we operate from two main locations. When you place an order, we prepare and pack plants across both sites depending on what you’ve ordered.
Site 1 – Packing and Distribution
This site holds:
Oxygenating bunches
Loose lilies
Aquarium plants
Snails
Pots
Pond packs
Site 2 – Growing Site
This site holds:
Potted lilies
Potted plants
Plugs
Floating plants
Tropical plants
Fruit trees
We start processing orders each morning at 8am.
Orders that include items from Site 2 are dispatched the following day.
Orders that only include items from Site 1 are usually dispatched the same day.
During our peak periods, we can process up to 3,000 orders a day across multiple departments. Each department either supports a main packing team or packs orders directly.
We have five collections a day, so orders can leave throughout the day as soon as they’re ready.
During busy times, if we experience any delays, we’ll post updates on our social media and website to give everyone a heads up. This helps keep customers informed if there’s likely to be a delay of a few days.
