Hosta 'Regal Splendor' - 2026

Hosta ‘Regal Splendor’ is a commanding perennial that makes a dramatic statement in shaded gardens. It bears large, frosted grey-blue leaves edged with narrow, creamy-yellow margins that fade to cream as the foliage matures. The strongly corrugated, substantial leaves form an upright, urn- or vase-shaped mound. In mid to late summer, tall scapes appear bearing bell-shaped pale lavender-pink flowers that rise well above the foliage, adding both height and pollinator appeal.

Thriving in moist, fertile, well-drained soils rich in organic matter, Hosta ‘Regal Splendor’ prefers partial to full shade and benefits from protection against harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorch. It’s fairly easy to grow, though its large size means it needs room to reach full maturity. Dividing every few years helps maintain vigour and shape.
