Key Points
What you will receive:
Selected number of strands of Lysimachia Nummularia
Creeping Jenny tends to grow upward more than outward, producing few sideshoots. It readily breaks the surface of the water when it reaches the top of an aquarium. Pruning and propagation of Lysimachia nummularia is very simple. Top and replant or simply top. This plant roots easily and often exhibits aerial roots.
This ovate leaved stem plant is best suited as a midground or background plant. Due to the green, is a fine addition to many aquascapes as an accent, especially which the contrast of color, texture, and leaf size is critical.
A moderately fast grower, is one of the most undemanding stem plants to grow. It can tolerate soft or hard water, pH in the 6.0-8.0 range, and temps from 15-25 C. Although this plant grows well in non-CO2, moderately lit aquaria, it prefers high light and CO2 addition along with plenty of NO3 and trace fertilization. Both L. nummularia and its 'Aurea' form are excellent indicator plants for NO3, showing very full, robust leaves with bright coloration only when its nitrate needs (>5 ppm) are met. Its growth is often stunted or slowed when these nutrients are deficient.

Important
Plants are incubated in a solution of 0.01% of the insecticide Buprafezin for one hour (Please do not just drop these in a shrimp tank or with any other crustacean. To use these within a tank please wash in water with baking soda under light. These are treated to remove the insecticide but there are cases where this has not been fully removed causing casualties in crustacean.

Recycled Growing Media
At Lincs Plants, we’re proud to use a recycled, peat free growing mix that’s made right here in Lincolnshire. It’s made from coir with around 20% silt loam added in.
The coir keeps the mix light and free draining, while the silt loam adds structure and helps hold moisture and nutrients. By recycling used media and using locally sourced materials, we cut down on waste and reduce the need for imported peat based composts.
This home grown mix is part of our commitment to sustainable growing and supporting local production wherever possible.
At Lincs Plants, we operate from two main locations. When you place an order, we prepare and pack plants across both sites depending on what you’ve ordered.

During our peak periods, we can process up to 3,000 orders a day across multiple departments. Each department either supports a main packing team or packs orders directly.
We have five collections a day, so orders can leave throughout the day as soon as they’re ready.
