A hardy waterlily with striking carmine-rose, cup-shaped blooms 15–20 cm across, sometimes shading lighter toward the tips. Flowers are fragrant and produced abundantly from June to September, often standing slightly above the water. Leaves are green, occasionally flushed when young, up to 25 cm wide, with a spread of 1.2–1.5 m. Thrives in 40–80 cm of water and full sun, making it an excellent show variety for medium to large ponds.
