Sanguisorba officinalis 'Mornings Select' (Morhowi) - 2026

Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Morning Select’ is a clump-forming perennial with attractive light green, finely divided foliage and upright slender stems bearing dark red, bottlebrush-style flower spikes from early summer well into autumn. The dense flower heads sway in the slightest breeze, adding texture, movement and a long season of interest to perennial borders, moist beds, pond edges or mixed planting schemes. Its striking contrast of dark red blooms over fresh green foliage makes it both ornamental and eye-catching, while the foliage provides structural interest even when not in flower.

In addition to its decorative appeal, ‘Morning Select’ supports wildlife: its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
