Winter gem Apple

Winter Gem is a modern late-season apple variety, known for its exceptional storage capabilities and sweet, crisp flavour. This medium-sized apple features a bright yellow skin, often blushed or streaked with red, giving it an attractive, glossy appearance. The sweet, firm flesh offers a well-balanced flavour that is ideal for fresh eating and desserts. Typically harvested in late October to early November, Winter Gem apples store excellently, maintaining their crispness and flavour well into late spring. As a self-sterile variety in Pollination Group 4, Winter Gem requires a compatible pollinator from groups 3, 4, or 5. With a mature height of 3–5 meters and a spread of 3–4 meters, depending on the chosen rootstock, Winter Gem is an excellent choice for home gardeners and orchardists looking for a flavourful, long-keeping apple variety.
